November Stamp Club Projects

My Stamp Club is taking a break in December but I wanted to share some of the past projects with you. Here is one of our November projects.  I love the shimmer of the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder which covers the entire stamped portion of the front of this card. The picture just doesn't do it justice! I think this is one of my all time favorite stamp club projects.

We used the "Coffee Filter" technique on the front then stamped the Christmas Collage background stamp from the Holiday Mini catalog over top. That whole piece was then covered with VersaMark ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. That is layered on Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler with Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon for the bow. Inside we stamped images from the Bells & Boughs set  (also from the Holiday Mini).

Our other November project involved the "Shaving Cream" technique. (It was a rather messy day!) We did the shaving cream and ink refill technique for the background in Wild Wasabi and Real Red. We used the ornament from the Contempo Christmas set, punched it out with the ornament punch and dressed it up with the 1/8" Real Red ribbon and rhinestones. The inside is stamped with the other three images from the Contempo Christmas set.

Convention Swaps

I wasn't able to make it to the Stampin' Up! Convention this year. But my upline, Laura was so nice and took about 100 swaps for me. I was only going to send 50 since I knew they'd take up some space in her suitcase but I got a little carried away and ended up with 100. Thank you, Laura!

Here's my cat card. I made a similar card for a friend's birthday and decided I just had to make more. Originally, I used some retired designer series paper that was black with white polka dots but since it was retired I had to re-create the look with 1/2" punched circles. I decided that punching and sticking over 500 circles would be a good thing to do in the car on vacation.

I also used the new Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper for the leaves. I punch them out with the 5-Petal punch. (this is a picture of my sample which still had the retired Certainly Celery leaves on it - but you get the picture) I love the new Basic Rhinestones! They just dress up everything  - even the cat!

That was going to be it for swaps but my 1- 1/4" black striped grosgrain ribbon arrive the day before we left on vacation...sometimes you just have to go make something! I came up with this quick and easy black and vanilla card. It uses the new Newsprint Designer Series Paper, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Perfect Punches stamp set, Scallop Oval punch, Very Vanilla and Basic Black card stock and or course, the ribbon. I tied the ribbon with a piece of thread to hold it together before I placed the punched piece over it. The scallop oval is held on with Dimensionals.

July Stamp Club Projects

The July Stamp Club projects featured new products and stamps from the new 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog. The first card was CASE'D from Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Karen Sylvester. I tweaked it bit. Love those new Paper Daises, Antique Brads and Dotted Scalloped Ribbon punch! Colors used where Not Quite Navy, River Rock, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.

The second project was CASE'D from Stampin' Up! demonstrator Annette Stewart. We used the Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper and everything is stamped or inked in Soft Suede.

February Stamp Club Projects

Our February Stamp was delayed due to snow but we finally made it and put together two lovely cards. The first using the emerging color technique. We used the Vintage Vogue set from the Occasions Mini Catalog as the emerging stamp set and embossed over top of it with the Medallion stamp. We brayered over top of that with Elegant Eggplant ink.

For our second project we brayered over Bride Designer Specialty paper (pg. 158 in the Idea Book & Catalog) with Melon Mambo ink to create a stunning design that really pops with the black and white on the card. The flower is made from tissue paper punched out with the new Extra Large Fancy Flower punch. The side piece is embossed with the new Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder and the Big Shot! Notice the Perfect Polka Dots embossed on the envelope flap as well.

This cute little basket is super easy to make. This is what the Stamp Club members received as their little "goodie" this month. It is just a 6x6 piece of designer paper scored at 2 inches from each side and diagonally on each corner. Fold the corners in and punch a hole near the crease. This one is held together with a binder clip but you can thread ribbon through the holes too.

Another Stamp Club Project - Heart Treat Cups

This is the other project I had for my Stamp Club this month. It uses the new Heart Treat Cups and the coordinating Sweetheart stamp set. Quantities of the Heart Treat Cup are limited so if you're looking for a cute Valentine project you will need to order these right away. More will be available after Valentine's Day. Wouldn't these be cute for a wedding favor or bridal shower? Just thinking... Order them from my Stampin' Up! website. Look for the Shop Now button in the upper right corner.

Stamps: Sweetheart
Cardstock: Orchid Opulence, Barely Banana, Whisper White, Shades of Spring DSP
Ink: Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Pinking Hearts Border, 1 3/8" circle, Full Heart punches, Whisper White Satin ribbon, Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings embosslits die, Big Shot!, Paper snips, glue dots.

This is a standard size card. The base is 4 1/4"x 11" scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". The ribbon holds the card open.

Pull the tab out to expose the candy through the hole in the back of the card. That way you don't have to tear the card apart to get to the candy. Hmmm...chocolate...handmade card...it's a tough decision - thus the hole in the back gives you the best of both!
